For proper functionality, multicast(4) needs to be enabled. To do so,
add the following line to rc.conf.local(8):
    multicast=YES

Before starting mdnsd(8), "mdnsd_flags" needs to be modified in
rc.conf.local(8) to listen on the correct interface (default is "em0").
For example: mdnsd_flags=fxp0
